Elevating the Venue Booking Experience
Scope of Work
Makanat, a venue marketplace company based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is renowned as a marketplace that facilitates venue discovery and bookings. With a strong dedication to enhancing the user experience, Makanat approached us at Natuno to revamp the Hosting and Listing Pages on their website.
Their aim was to make the site look visually pleasing and easy to navigate, whether you are a venue owner who wants to list your spaces or someone seeking for the perfect place.
The Problem
Imagine you're a first-time visitor to the website. What kind of impression would you get? We found an issue: the images and overall look hadn’t clearly shown that this was a reliable place to find and book venues.
Trust is built on small things. For example, in a venue booking site, images are super important for users to see if a place is what they're looking for. However, on the current site, they weren't prominently featured. Instead, there was an abundance of text that hadn't been well-structured, potentially causing confusion among users.
This might seem like a small thing, but they matter a lot. A website is the primary platform users check out a company’s product or service, and they decide in just a few seconds. It's either a thumbs up or a pass.
Additionally, we noticed a visual disconnect between the website’s visuals and Makanat's brand guidelines. Brand guidelines aren't just files; they need to be put into action to reinforce user’s trust and brand consistency.
The Solution
Our approach was two-fold: to simplify the website’s functionality and elevate its visuals.
Our ultimate goal is to position the Makanat website as a reliable platform for users to easily rent their space or discover a venue without any confusion. The pleasing visual design reflects the quality of the venues available on the site.
Hosting Page
The Hosting Page acts as the gateway for Makanat's hosts, providing comprehensive information on how hosting works, the benefits of becoming a host, and addressing frequently asked questions.
Throughout the revamp process, our focus was on organizing the layout to ensure clarity and accuracy in presenting this information to users.
Additionally, considering a diverse audience, we thoughtfully designed the layout to accommodate both English and Arabic scripts. For example, placing the title in the middle was a considerate touch for comfortable readability, whether it's from left to right or from right to left.
Explore Spaces Effortlessly
The Listing Page on Makanat is crafted for users to explore and discover spaces that align with their preferences for production, meetings, or events.
Comprehensive Style Guide
We didn't just stop at the website makeover. We also collaborated to create a comprehensive style guide, serving as a reference for future use and scaling up. It covers elements like the color palette, logo usage, typography, buttons, and more.
Engaging Company Deck
Once the website was up and running, Makanat aimed to boost its visibility to potential partners. Visual appeal was key, so we crafted a captivating pitch deck that acts as a tool that helps them sell.
